
Right click on the entry for Intel Dual Channel Wireless-AC (or -N) 7260 and uninstall it, choosing to (checkmark) Delete the driver software for this device. From the Device Manager applet, check the Network Adapters section for an entry for Intel Dual Channel Wireless-AC (or -N) 7260 and check the Bluetooth section for an entry for Intel Wireless Bluetooth that has an Intel driver associated with it. Manually reboot your computer, keeping Internet access disabled throughout. When prompted, choose to "Discard Settings". Uninstall each instance of Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and/or Intel Wireless Bluetooth that is present. From the Apps & Features applet, check for instances of Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and Intel Wireless Bluetooth. Note this Wireless disable must be of type that will stay disabled across reboots.
Unplug Ethernet cable and/or disable wireless.
Don't try to install them just have the packages available there.
Make sure you have the Bluetooth and Wireless packages on the machine to be updated. I documented in the Wireless-AC conversation, the process is not exactly as was detailed by Jonathan. Here is my process for doing the clean install:
